Day 1

Fly to Arba Minch. In the afternoon, visit the crocodile farm and learn more about the meat and leather business. Overnight in Arba Minch.

Day 2

Take a full-day boat trip on Lake Chamo to see hippopotamus, birds and the crocodile market. You will then cross by boat to reach Nechisar National Park for a picnic lunch and explore the park to see zebras, gazelles, hartebeest, birds, monkeys, baboons,… In the evening, drive to Dorze. At night, the Dorze people will show you their traditional dances around a campfire. Overnight in a beehive-shaped hut in the Dorze village.

Day 3

Start the day with a short trek to the impressive Toro waterfalls. In the afternoon, visit the village and the cotton-weaving tradition of the Dorze people: take a chance to appreciate some of Ethiopia’s most beautiful Shama, Gabbi and Netalas. Learn more about the false-banana tree and how it is used to supply the daily meals. Visit the pottery and enjoy some of the Dorzes’ most beautiful work. Overnight in a beehive-shaped hut in the Dorze village.

Day 4

In the morning, visit the local market (Dorze or Chencha depending on the day). In the afternoon, fly to Addis Ababa.
